Drumming for healing and meditation is an ancient practice and goes back thousands of years, the power of sound over the body and spirit is well known in tribal cultures. Scientific research confirms that drumming (even for short periods) can influence brain activity, bringing you into the meditative alpha state and can reduce stress. Study also shows that drumming can increase the production of the body’s natural painkillers and can therefore help control pain and enhance healing.

Sound Bath

We will perform a singing bowl concert bathing you in the beautiful sounds and vibrations from the singing bowls which has a profound effect on mental peace, relaxation and healing.

Chakra Balancing

The bowls are placed around the body and played in a particular sequence to naturally cause chakras to self-correct. The sound waves, run through the body correcting frequencies to the unbalanced chakras, bringing them back to normal functioning. Chakra balancing can be deeply relaxing and helps with many modern-day issues like stress, insomnia whilst also healing physical, emotional, mental and spiritual issues.

The singing bowl will be placed directly on to the body (through your clothes) and the singing bowl will be played sending the healing vibrations through the body at a cellular level to relax, heal and rejuvenate any areas that are blocked or in pain.

Enjoy being bathed in beautiful overtones, sound waves and frequencies which can have a very soothing or energising effect depending what your mind and body needs at that time. Once thing for sure is that the Gong will offer you an opportunity to fall into the parasympathetic state where you can allow your body to heal, rebalance and rejuvenate. This session also has the potential to reduce activity in your left hand side brain (your thinking side!) to allow thoughts to reduce and for your creative right hand side brain to ignite without distractions from a busy mind - this can be very effective for gaining clarity, focus and generating a positive flow of energy.

( 90 min minimum ) Yin yoga is a slow and soft style of yoga which allows you to stretch and nourish the deeper connective tissues such as ligaments, bones and joints which are harder to target in more dynamic (yang) styles of yoga. We will incorporate the Chinese meridian system where there will be a focus on organ health and the energetic body. The practice will be accompanied by our Nepalese singing bowls so that the sound and vibrations will enter your body at a cellular level to calm your body and mind and promote healing. We will finish with a reiki drumming shower sure to leave you feeling deeply relaxed and rejuvenated.
